Give Hope started HIV Prevention Care and Support Project in Ethiopia
Give Hope Ethiopia won a grant from Viiv Healthcare in the UK to start HIV/AIDS Prevention, Care and Support project in Legetafo Legedadi area of Oromia region in Ethiopia for a period of two years.
The project benefits sixty additional orphaned and vulnerable children who are infected or affected by HIV. It provides them with educational supplies, nutrition, medical, and tutorial support to help them go to school and perform well.
The project also works with the OVC’s carers equipping them with skills which help them generate their own income.
HIV prevention activities are carried out among over nine thousand in and out-of-school youth educating them about sexual reproductive health.
Give Hope Ethiopia implements the project in collaboration with Tesfa Kokeb Association of People Living with HIV/AIDS.
